The annual 44th international academic competition in chemistry will take place in Baky from April 27 to May 3, reported the web-site of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan.
The event, which will take place at Cresent-Beach Hotel, will attend participants from the CIS, Baltic states, Bulgaria, Romania, and Macedonia will take part in the competition.
The government of Azerbaijan is planning to allocate 220 750 manats (about $300 thousand) for the competition.
In the last 10 years Mendeleev International Academic Competition took place in Russia, Moldavia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenia. Azerbaijan hosted the event last time back in the year 2000.
