Munich scraps bid to host 2022 Olympic Games

52.1% of the Munich population, 51.56% of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 54.1% of Berchtesgaden and 59.67% of Traunstein have voted against hosting the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.Germany has been bidding to host the Olympic Games since September 30.There are four cities competing to host the Games: Almaty (Kazakhstan), Oslo (Norway), Lvov (Ukraine) and Krakow (Poland). The winner will be elected at a session of the International Olympic Committee in Malaysia on July 31, 2015.
