German Chancellor Angela Merkel will not visit Sochi for the 2014 Olympic Games. German Federal Minister for the Interior Thomas de Maiziere will represent the country instead, InoPress reports.
Presidents of France and Germany Francois Hollande and Joachim Gauck, British Prime Minister David Cameron had said earlier that they will not be at the Games.
