Fabio Capello and the Russian Football Union have recently signed a new contract. According to the deal, Capello is expected to lead the Russian national football team until the 2018 World Cup. No details of the contract have been reported, but it's believed that the Italian coach will mainly work with Russian experts.
Vestnik Kavkaza discussed the deal with Artem Sokolov. According to the expert, the decision to sign a new contract wih the coach was the right one.
"I'm certain that this decision will be beneficial not only for the Russian national team, but for footballing life in this country in general," he says.
