CSKA FC President Yevgeny Giner said yesterday that he did not care about the position of the FIFA towards the combined championship, with all respect to Sepp Blatter, Sport-Express reports.
Giner reminded that UEFA was what mattered in the issue. He sees no reasons why the EU should be against it either. Giner added that Michel Platini was ready for compromises and would allow Russian clubs to receive $150 million, not $15 million, from shareholders.
The CSKA president said that the UEFA will give permission for the championship as soon as Ukraine agrees to participate.Russian Minister for Sports Vitaly Mutko had said earlier that the position of the FIFA had been clear and had nothing to discuss.
