Director of the United Football Leagues Valery Gazzayev spoke about the steps towards the creation of the united championship for Russian and Ukrainian clubs.
"We need some more steps. All the participants of the Russian Premier League voted for the united football league. A similar procedure should now take place in the Ukrainian Premier League. And then in the UEFA", said Gazzayev.
"Any innovation encounters resistance", adding that there have been no analogues to this project in European football.
"We can't stay still, we need to move ahead", said Gazzayev quoted by Chempionat.com
