Standard-bearer of the Russian national team at the Olympic Games in Sochi Alexander Zubkov together with Alexei Voevoda won gold medals at the Olympic bobsleigh competitions.
Swiss duo Hefti / Baumann and American duo Holcomb / Langton got silver and bronze medals.
After two races held yesterday the crew of Zubkov and Voevoda had the advantage of 0.32 seconds. In the third attempt, the Russian duo was again ahead of all its competitors. In the fourth race they managed to bring it to 0.66 seconds, thus winning the fifth gold for Russia.
Second Russian crew - Alexander Kasyanov and Maxim Belugin - showed the fourth result.
