The Grozny-1 and Grozny-2 junior hockey teams have had their first match at the Chechen capital. They played at the Grozny City Ice Arena to conclude the 22nd Winter Olympic Games of Sochi, Gazeta.ru reports.
The Chechen Ministry for Youth Affairs and the Ministry for Physical Education and Sports organized the match. Minister for Physical Education and Sports Khasmagomed Khizriyev said that the first universal sports complex with an ice area was under construction in the NCFD.
The ice arena for 9,000 people will meet standards of the KHL. It will have a football field for 2,000 people, a 25-meter pool with 8 lines and tennis courts.
