Azerbaijan will have taken radical measures by the end of this year to stimulate and support the work of the media, APA reports, citing the chairman of the Press Council, Aflatun Amashev.
Amashev said that the measures include freeing the press from paying taxes. He emphasized that this year the department of journalism will have entrance exams to reveal the capabilities of prospective students.
Amashev noted that the president ordered that funds be issued for construction of housing for journalists and that the construction will start in the near future.
