Anzhi loses to CSKA at home with a huge score

CSKA players beat Anzhi at home in the match of the 22th round of the Russian Championship and reached fourth place in the standings. The meeting ended with a score of 3:0.

The rivals actively started the game, creating several poignant moments in the first minute. CSKA attacked more often, but the hosts created the first scoring chance, which, however, they failed to capitalise on. Difficulty with implementation became a major problem for Anzhi in this match: the Makhachkala team did not manage to hit the goal of Igor Akinfeev, while CSKA, having more quality players in the front line, used its capacity, according to ITAR -TASS.

The score was opened  in the 26th minute by Ivorian striker of  the Moscow team Seydou Doumbia, who played the rebound after Mikhail Kerzhakov deflected his shot. At the beginning of the second half Doumbia scored twice, closing the strike of Ahmed Musa on the left. This goal became the 13th for the CSKA striker this season, and he caught up with the striker of Rostov Artem Dziuba in the first line of the list of scorers. Musa set the final score of the match, using a one-on-one competition with Kerzhakov after quickly playing a free kick.

With the victory CSKA is on 40 points and equal with Moscow's Spartak FC and Dynamo, ranking fourth in the standings of the Premier League. Anzhi ranked last, in 16th, falling by six points behind the 14th position that would allow them to enter the play-offs for the right to stay in the Premier League.
