54 members of the UEFA Congress voted for the Resolution on National Football Teams 2018-2022 that will give way to the Nations League in 2018, as stated by Wolfgang Niersbach, president of the German Football Association and head of the tournament committee of national teams, RIA Novosti reports.
The tournament will be held once in every two years and will replace friendly matches of national teams. Teams will be split into three or four divisions. 16 teams will be split into 4 groups of 4 teams each. The winner of each group will enter the Final of Four on neutral territory.
