Russian Super Cup most likely to be held in Krasnodar

Most likely, the match for the Russian Super Cup between the Russian champion of 2013/14 CSKA Rossii and the holder of the Russian Cup 2013/14 Rostov FC  will be held in Krasnodar.

The Russian Football Premier League (RFPL), as reported in the press service, is considering several options for the venue of the match for the Super Cup, giving preference to Krasnodar. UEFA has already secured an agreement on the management of the regional administration of the match. The final decision on the venue for the match between CSKA and Rostov should be taken on Tuesday at a meeting of the executive committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

The Russian Super Cup started in 2003. The first eight games were held in Moscow (the Locomotiv stadium in 2003-2005, the Luzhniki stadium in 2006-2010). Then the match took place in Krasnodar (the Kuban stadium), Samara ( the Metallurg stadium) and Rostov-on-Don ( the Olymp-2 stadium).

CSKA have won the Russian Cup most often (five times). Rostov will take part in the battle for the trophy for the first time in the FC's history.
