Lviv’s bid for 2022 Winter Olympics discarded

 

President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said that Lviv had enormous potential for development but was not ready to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. In his words, the city could consider bidding for 2026, RIA Novosti reports.Thus, the list of candidates to host the Games includes only Almaty, Oslo and Beijing. The winner will be chosen in Kuala Lumpur on July 31, 2015.
