South Ossetia hosts the first championship in rhythmic gymnastics

 

South Ossetia hosts the first championship in rhythmic gymnastics South Ossetia for the first time in history held competitions in rhythmic gymnastics among athletes from 6 to 15 years old. The competition, according to the head of the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics of South Ossetia, Zema Tskhovrebova, was organized to identify and select the most talented and promising athletes, who will continue to represent the republic in various competitions held outside of South Ossetia. "The event was also aimed at the further promotion and development of rhythmic gymnastics in South Ossetia," Tskhovrebova added.  "In addition, tournaments such as those we plan to continue in the future contribute to the development of competitive experience among our young athletes. We are very grateful to the Committee on youth policy, sport and tourism and its leader, Sergei Zasseyev, for their active assistance in its implementation."
