Russia wins Cadet Wrestling World Championship in Snina

Russian athletes Atmir Kotsev (up to 42kg), Victor Vedernikov (up to 46kg) and Arslan Zubairov (up to 58kg) won gold medals at the Cadet Wrestling World Championship in Snina. Azerbaijani wrestlers Nijat Abdullayev (up to 76kg), Soslan Fanziyev (up to 85kg) and Kavid Feyziyev (up to 100kg) won silver medals, Seymur Museynov (up to 46kg), Islambek Dadov (up to 69kg) won bronze medals. Azerbaijan scored a total of 49 points.

Iran’s Arman Alizadeh Abdevali (up to 76kg) won gold, Mohammedreza Agachinar (up to 50kg) won silver, Alireza Nejati (up to 42kg), Poya Naserpur (up to 46kg) and Abdevali Keramat (up to 58kg) won bronze.

Georgian athlete Johnny Khetsuriani (up to 50kg) and Zviad Pararidze (up to 100kg) became junior champions, Leri Abuladze (up to 46kg) became vice champion, Nikoloz Tsikaidze (up to 63kg) came third.

Armenia’s Edgar Tamazyan (up to 54kg) won silver, Arman Bagdasaryan (up to 63kg) won bronze. Turkey’s Kamal Kerem (up to 42kg) won silver, Dogukana Kuru (up to 76kg) and Ekrem Ozturk (up to 54kg) won bronze. Yernur Fidakhmetov (up to 54kg) won a gold medal for Kazakhstan.

The Cadet Wrestling World Championship ends in Snina. Finals of female wrestlers will take place today and tomorrow. Free wrestling finals will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
