President of the Russian Swimming federation Vladimir Salnikov said at the European Aquatics Championship in Berlin that the European Swimming League had offered Russia to host the European Swimming Championship (25m) in 2017, ITAR-TASS reports.The host will have been chosen by January 2015. Russia hosted the Championship in 2003. Salnikov noted that Russia needed to consider the cities suitable for hosting the event.He reminded that the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex in Moscow had been privatized in May.
