Sergey Stepashin, a member of the executive committee of the Russian Football Union and the head of the Moscow Dynamo monitoring council, said that he sees no optimism about the performance of the Russian national team, Championat.com reports.
He said that the team should at least reach the semi-finals in the 2018 FIFA World Cup that the country will host. Stepashin admitted that previous games had proven the lack of talented young players in the team.
