The Mountaineering Federation of Azerbaijan held the traditional Drytooling Cup in Baku to mark International Mountain Day. 75 people competed for the Cup of the AMF in the Elite, Open and Junior categories. They were judged by a master of sports of Azerbaijan, Yagub Mammadov.
Movsus Shiraliev (Mountain Sports Club) took first place in the Elite category. He demonstrated the full passage route with fixing at the finish. As for the silver and bronze medalists, Stanislav Belousov ("Irbis") and Azad Mammadov (Republican-mountaineering Touring Club), they were fighting for their medals, fiercely demonstrating the skill and the will to win. Movsus Shiralieva (Mountain Sports Club) won the women's cup.
This year the largest category was Junior (children from 10 to 14 years old), in which Khadija Guluzadeh and Orhan Aslanov won the AMF in the younger group and Orhan Garadagli and Anastasia Volodin won the AMF in senior.
The AMF congratulates all of the participants, fans, organizers, the judges and especially all the young participants and their parents on the successful completion of the Cup of the Mountaineering Federation of Azerbaijan and wished them lots of success and further victories.
