Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov has entered the Спорт. Майл.ру rating of top 14 football figures of 2014. The list includes Manuel Neuer (a goalkeeper for Bayern Munich), Louis van Gaal (manager of Manchester United), Roman Shirokov (a Russian football player), Sergio Ramos (a center back for Real Madrid), Uli Hoeneß (a German football player and coach), Mario Balotelli (an Italian football player) and others.
Championat and the Oranzhevoye Nebo Fund started collecting donations for 18-year-old Grisha Simonyan in February 2014. Kadyrov granted over 1.5 million rubles for Simonyan's treatment. Kadyrov is the honorary president of Grozny Terek FC, the Chechen government reports.
Simonyan died on September 26, despite efforts to treat him.
