Gaji Gajiyev has become the new coach of FC Amkara Perm, replacing Slavoljub Muslin who had resigned on December 9, Championat.com reports.
The leadership of Gajiyev brought bronze medals to Krylia Sovetov Samara at the Russian championship in 2004, fourth position to Anzhi in 2000, fifth position to Saturn in 2007, finals with Anzhi in 2001 and Krylia Sovetov Samara in 2004. Gajiyev was named the best football coach of Russia in 2000 and 2007.
Gajiyev's contract with Anzhi was broken on May 22, 2014.
