Blatter: "Crimean issue" is not FIFA's business

The International Football Federation (FIFA) will not intervene in the "Crimean issue".

It is exclusively the prerogative of UEFA, the FFU and the RFU. This statement was made by FIFA President Joseph (Sepp) Blatter.

Three Crimean clubs - FC SKChF Sevastopol, FC TSK Simferopol and FC Zhemchuzhina Yalta - have been playing since the beginning of season 2014/15 in the Southern zone of the Professional Football League.

On December 4th the UEFA Executive Committee decided to ban Crimean football clubs from taking part in competitions organized by the Russian Football Union starting from January 1, 2015. But the organization noted that soccer in the region must be preserved.
