The winners of the Caucasian Games awarded in Sochi

The winners of the Caucasian Games, a sports festival organized in Karachay-Cherkessia, were awarded in Sochi,
the city where the 2014 Olympic Games are going to take place, RIA Novosti reports.

The first sports festival Caucasian Games was held in Karachay-Cherkessia this October. 210 sportsmen from all
over the North Caucasian Federal District competed with each other in 14 national kinds of sports.

The festival was not barely a sports contest. In the framework of the festival various installation were
organized in order to popularize the national traditions and customs of Caucasian people.

The award ceremony that took place in Sochi was attended by vice-premier of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak. He has addressed the audience with a special oration, congratulated the winners and thanked them for their
tribute to the preservation of the national traditions of the region.
