In Grozny, the international tournament in mixed martial arts 'Groznaya Bitva' has opened at the sports complex 'Coliseum'.
The competitions are visited by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Russian State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, Chechen Prime Minister Abubakar Edelgeriev, chief of staff and head of government of the republic Magomed Dowd, First Deputy Prime Tumhadzhiev Isa, secretary of economic and social security in Chechnya Vahit Usman, Mayor of Grozny Islam Kadyrov and others.
In the framework of the tournament 17 fights will be held, 14 of which will be performed by Chechen athletes, students of the Ahmad Republican Sports Club. The main event of the evening was the battle between Russian Abdul-Kerim Edilov with the Brazilian Thiago Monaco Tosato. The 23-year-old heavyweight, a native of Chechnya, Edilov won in the first round, using a rear choke.
Thus on his account there are 12 wins in 14 fights. His rival, 28-year-old Tiago Monaco Tosato of the State of Parana, won 34 victories in 52 matches.
