The 2015 European Games will be held in Baku on 12-28 June 2015. Their program includes competitions in 20 sports. More than 6 thousand athletes from 49 countries will participate in the Games, 239 sets of medals will be played for.
The Baku 2015 European Games Organizing Committee is headed by the First Lady of Azerbaijan, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a member of the executive committee of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, Mehriban Aliyeva.
