Russia supports Georgia's Youth Olympic Festival bid

Russia is supporting the Georgian bid to hold the European Youth
Olympic Festival in 2015, it was announced today at a working meeting
in Belgrade between the president of the National Olympic Committee of
Georgia Gia Natsvlishvili and the president of the Russian Olympic
Committee (ROC), Alexander Zhukov, ITAR-TASS reports.

"Sport should always be above politics," Zhukov said.

On Thursday, Georgian authorities once again proposed to boycott the
Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
