Russian athlete Aliya Mustafina, wrestler Alan Khugayev and runner Yulia Zaripova won gold medals at the Olympic Games in London on August 6.
Alan Khugayev from North Ossetia has beaten the champion of the games in Athens in 2004 Karam Gaber Ibragim from Egypt in the category under 84 kg.
Zaur Kuramagomedov (60 kg) won a bronze medal after beating Egypt and Azerbaijan. Revaz Lakhshi (Georgia) lost to Omid Haji Noruzi (Iran).
Hasan Baroyev, winner of the games in Athens under 120 kg, lost to Yuri Patrikeyev (Armenia).
Russian athlete Yulia Zaripova won the 3000 m run with obstacles. Yevgeniya Kolodko won a bronze medal in shot putt. Iran Tarasova got the ninth position.

Gymnast Aliya Mustafina (Russia) won gold in bar exercises, the award for the gymnast in 12 years. The previous gold was won in Sydney in 2000.

Magomed Omarov (Russia) lost to Magomedrasul Mejidov (Azerbaijan) in the quarter-final under 91 kg. Mejidov won 17:14 (4:4, 7:6, 3:7).
Hajimurat Akkayev (Russia) injured his back in weight lifting in the category under 105 kg. Alexey Torokhty (Ukraine) won gold, Navab Nasirsheval (Iran) won silver.
