Batumi establishes system of bicycle lanes

The management of the new bicycle system of Batumi will be carried out by the French company Intercycles, Business Georgia reports.

Representatives of the company are in Batumi to coordinate details of the contract with the city's authorities.

The route will include 10 terminals with 120 bicycles. 200,000 euros will be spent on the project. The aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle and protect the environment.

The track will be constructed before the tourist season of 2011. The system will work 24/7.
