Number of tourists to Georgia increasing every year

The number of tourists in Georgia in January increased by 47 percent
year-on-year. According to the Ministry for Economy and Sustainable
Development of Georgia 160,991 foreign nationalities visited the
country, Business-Georgia reports.

56 per cent  of the visitors were from Europe (exclduing the CIS),
visited. 97,404 visitors rom the CIS countries visited Georgia in
January, which is 43 per cent more than last January.

Most of the visitors in Georgia are from Azerbaijan and amount to
44,326 people, which is 36 percent higher than in January 2010.
