Consent Square in the Kabardino-Balkarian capital, Nalchik, will see the opening of a new light and musical fountain, Yuga.ru reports.
The Kabardino-Balkarian leader, Arsen Kanokov, initiated building of the fountain. It will be computerized with "dancing" flows of water synchronised with the musical composition played.
Alpina (Italy) will be building the fountain. Negotiations started over a year ago. Italy will provide the necessary materials and equipment and train local specialists. The Ministry for Construction and Architecture of Kabardino-Balkaria will make projects and communications, Turkish company Akyn Azay will do the building.
The “dancing” fountain would be a unique project for Kabardino-Balkaria and Russia. It will be one of the main sites of Nalchik.
Construction is expected to be completed in autumn 2012. Fountains will also be built at the entrances to Nalchik from Vladikavkaz and Pyatigorsk.
