The Resorts of the North Caucasus State Corporation and Ernst & Young have signed a deal on development of a business concept for the tourism cluster of the North Caucasian Federal District, Krasnodar Territory and Adygeya, ITAR-TASS reports.
Ernst & Young will carry out analysis of investment plans for resort construction, develop a market strategy and business plans.
The North Caucasus tourism cluster is the latest Russian regional project. It involves construction of Lagonaki (Krasnodar Territory, Adygeya), Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkessia), Elbrus-Bezengi (Kabardino-Balkaria), Mamison (North Ossetia) and Matlas (Dagestan). They will cover 2,500 square km, with 1000 km of ski runs, 214 elevators and hotels catering for 83,500 visitors. They will have an annual capacity of 150,500 people. The project is worth 451.4 billion rubles, 60 billion of the sum has been provided by the federal budget for construction of transport and communal infrastructure. The project will create 330,000 jobs.
