Ingush districts and the Caspian coast of Dagestan will become part of the North Caucasus Tourism Cluster, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Russian Ministry for Economic Development will sign an agreement with Ingushetia to make the Jeyrakhsky and Sunzhensky Districts part of the special economic zones.
The Derbentsky, Karabudakhkentsky, Kayakentsky and Magaramkentsky Districts of Dagestan will be part of special economic zones, as well as Khunzakhsky District.
The special economic zone of Karachay-Cherkessia, limited by the Zelenchuksky District, will be expanded with the Urupsky District.
The special economic zone of Kabardino-Balkaria, limited by the Chereksky, Chegemsky and Elbrus Districts, will be expanded with the Zolsky District.
Formation of special economic zones for recreation and tourism in Russia’s South is being managed by the Northern Caucasus Resorts according to the government’s decree N833 of the 14th of October 2010. According to the document, there will be 5 world-class ski resorts formed in 2011-2020: Lagonaki (Krasnodar Territory and Adygeya), Arkhyz (Karachay-Cherkessia), Elbrus-Bezengi (Kabardino-Balkaria), Mamison (North Ossetia - Alania) and Matlas (Dagestan).
