All-year skiing in Shakhdag tourist complex

Starting from next year, the Shakhdag tourist complex in the Azerbaijani Hussar region will offer all-year skiing opportunities for tourists, Trend reports referring to the statement of the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, Abulfaz Garayev made at the meeting with Argentinian Minister of Tourism, Carlos Enrique Meyer.

"If five years ago, less than one million tourists arrived in Azerbaijan, last year the figure was 2.234 million people. All in all, from 40 to 50 large and small hotels are build annually in Azerbaijan.

The Shahdagh winter and summer tourist complex will be built in 32 kilometers from the district center of Hussar region. The construction of the complex is divided into four stages. Currently  the complex is in the first phase of construction. The district center is located 183 km north of Baku.
