More than 20 ski lifts and trails with a total length of 63 km will
be built in Ingushetia as part of the North Caucasus tourism cluster.
This was announced today at a press conference at ITAR-TASS by the
first deputy director general of the company "Resorts of the North Caucasus",
Yuri Tyrtyshov.
Tyrtyshov said that the project will bring profit in 7-8 years. The
cost of construction is about 100 billion rubles.
The head of the Republic of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, said that
"the construction of the service sector will be financed mainly by
large corporations and government guarantees." He said that a working
group aimed at overseeing the construction of the tourist cluster in
Ingushetia was formed on behalf of the deputy prime minister for the
North Caucasus, Alexander Khloponin, and the Ministry of Economic
Development
The head of the Republic of Ingushetia also noted that at present a list
of specific objects is being prepared.
