The Georgian government failed to realize the Kobuleti in the Adjara Autonomy, the construction of which was to start by summer 2012. The project includes 30 hotels, but only 3 have been built and will open in June, Abc reports.
An Adjara spokesman Tengiz Zoidze said that they hope the situation would improve at the resort season this year.
Georgian Minister for Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia recommended Ukrainian businessmen to build hotels in Kabuleti.
Georgian tourism needs Russian tourists in order to develop. Europeans find the Black Sea “too cold”. Azerbaijani tourists that like Batumi (Adjara) cannot make a big change in the situation.
