Egypt has introduced a visa-free regime for tourists from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Turkey, China, India and Azerbaijan, Tourism Minister Munir Abdennur said, News Azerbaijan reports.
The visa-free regime is only available for tourists using tourism companies. Dozens of European and American states, including Russia, have experienced the new regime.
Four million tourists visited Egypt in the first four months of 2012, dropping by 18% compared with the same period in 2010. The new financial year starts on July 1. Egypt expects 14 million tourists this year and up to 25 million in 5 years.
