Georgia is officially opening the tourism season at the Tbilisi Mariott Hotel, Business Georgia reports.
Maya Sidamonidze, Director of the National Tourism Agency greeted guests and described tourism achievements and plans for the future.
300,000 tourists visited Georgia in 2011. 30% more are expected this year. High tourism activity is expected on June 16 - September 15. Recreation is planned for Saturday and Sunday.
The Summer in Georgia video clip was presented. It will be broadcasted in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
