The number of tourists visiting Georgia has increased dramatically in 2009-2011, Iliauni Business Review and Forbes said in a joint study, Trend reports.
The number of tourists in Georgia increased by 100%, hotel rooms by 50%, average wages of hotel staff by 30-40%.
The simplified visa regime contributed to the growing number of tourists. Moreover, more cheap air companies are offering flights to Georgia from Europe.
The study took a month to carry out. An August issue of Forbes in Georgia will give information on tourism development in Adjara.
