Caucasus is priority for Russian tourism development

 

Deputy Chief of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism Yevgeny Pisarevsky said at a conference on Russian-Chinese tourism in Moscow that Caucasus is the priority for tourism development in Russia, a press release received by Vestnik Kavkaza from the Northern Caucasus Resorts says.

Pisarevsky says that the Caspian and Black Seas have good potential for development. He noted that Chinese companies Dalan Wanda Group and China Oceanwhite Holdings Group invested about $3 billion in the region.

Yevgeny Tomikhin, Russian Consul Ambassador to China, said that the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi are popular among Russian businessmen.

Singer Lee Zhang, Russian tourism ambassador to China, arrived in Russia for the Russian Tourism Year in China. He admitted interest in Russian nature, culture and history and promised to promote visits to the country.
