Georgia ranks 73rd in tourism development

 

According to the results of a tourism development survey, Georgia

occupies 73rd position among 139 countries. It is between the

Dominican Republic and Malaysia in the ranking, Georgia-Online

reports.

Switzerland has the most well-developed tourism industry. The top ten

include Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, the United States, Britain,

Spain, Canada and Singapore. At the bottom of the rating are Burundi,

Angola and Chad.

Among post-Soviet countries, Estonia (25th), Latvia (51), and Russia

(59) have better positions. Azerbaijan (83), Ukraine (85), Armenia

(90), Kazakhstan (93), Moldova (99), Kyrgyzstan (107) and Tajikistan

(118) are below Georgia in the rating..
