The authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Elbrus district and "Resorts of
the North Caucasus" (RNC) have agreed to develop the Elbrus resort. The
document was signed on September 21 within the framework of the 11th
International Investment Forum in Sochi by the general director of
RNC, Alexei Nevsky, the head of Kabardino-Balakria, Arsen Kanokov, the
head of the Elbrus district, Aslan Malkarov, and the head of the rural
settlement of Elbrus, Uzeir Kurdanov, a press release of RNC
received by Vestnik Kavkaza says.
The agreement is aimed at solving problems with the owners of the
tourist infrastructure facilities, which hinder Elbrus becoming a modern
resort.
The sides agreed to create infrastructure for the development of the resort.
Kabardino-Balkaria also approved a planning concept with
unified architectural principles. A special working group will adjust
the existing and the planned objects of tourist infrastructure.
