Sberbank head expects Gornaya Karusel in Sochi to pay off

 

German Gref, head of Sberbank, expressed confidence today that the Gornaya Karusel Olympic facility in Sochi will pay off, Vedoomosti reports.

He noted that the area of projects was reduced from 1 million to 550,000 square meters.

Gref added that purchase of Krasnaya Polyana by Mikhail Gutseriyev from Magomed Bilalov had not been made for interests of Sberbank, but had been a deal of business partners.

Gornaya Karusel was the first world Olympic facility built in Sochi, launched in December 2008. It includes platforms at a height of 540m, 960m, 1450m, 2150m, 28 lines and 70km of cableways, hotels, apartments, cottages (a total of 52 buildings), restaurants. The resort will have 12,000 visitors daily.
