Tourists at Mt. Nanga Parbat and the Azerbaijani expedition of Israfil Ashurly, Ismail Askerov and Rufat Gojayev were evacuated to Islamabad, ITAR-TASS cites Ashurly, head of the Azerbaijani Federation of Alpinism.
Azerbaijani alpinists are resting at the Embassy. Georgian athletes Bidzina Gujabidze and Afi Gigani are stationed at the Azerbaijani Embassy as well.

The EU expressed condolences to Ukraine prior to the session of the Ukraine-EU Cooperation Council, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule said. Spokesman of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Yevgeny Perebiynis said that the sum of compensations was under negotiations.
