No poisoning found at Grand Ring Hotel of Turkey

Head of the culture and tourism section of the Turkish Embassy in Russia Celal Kilic said today that there was no need to close Turkish resorts for Russians, single cases of diseases were common in the tourism flow of 3.5 million people, RIA Novosti reports.

He said that 3.5 million tourists visited Turkey in 2012, exceeding the number in 2011 by 20%. 1.7 million visited in January-June 2013 (+18%).

The official emphasized that all the necessary specialists visited the Grand Ring Hotel in Beldibi, where 69 Russian tourists requested medical aid on August 3. 23 cases of poisoning were registered at Prient Palace in Antalya and 24 in Kacaranda in Belek. Russian Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishchenko said yesterday that further aggravations may result in bans to visit Turkey.
