Today in Grozny began its work for the round-table discussion "Tourist Union of the North Caucasus Federal District - Homeland of Hospitality", dedicated to the consolidation of efforts to develop domestic tourism in the North Caucasus region. The event was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee of all subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District, representatives of the tourism industry, as well as the media.
"Tourism has a function of spreading and strengthening peace on earth. Thus, previously warring nations have found friendship and mutually-beneficial relations. This is what happened in relations between Russia and Germany, as it happened and is happening to all other countries and peoples. Tourism generates knowledge and dialogue, makes a person more sensible and cheerful," the deputy chairman of the Chechen government's committee on tourism Yusuf Magomaev said, SKFO.RU reports.
Forum participants discussed the regional peculiarities of development of domestic and foreign tourismamd revival of trans-border routes, and shared their experience on how to solve problems of tourism and tourists' access to attractions located in the border zone.
