The cleanliness of Ajara's beaches to be protected

Strict measures are going to be taken against anyone found littering the beaches of Ajara, Business-Gruzia reports.

President Mikhail Saakashvili told a cabinet meeting in Batumi today that people littering the beaches are going to be fined 500 lari or imprisoned for 24 hours.

"Strict measures are going to be taken against those who litter beaches," the president said.
