The all-Russian portal for travelers Travel.ru made a list of the most popular tourist cities in Russia in 2014.
Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Novosibirsk and Samara are in the top 10 tourist cities. Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan are at the top of the list.
The longest trips are taken to Sochi – for 6 days on average; the shortest trips to the Moscow Region – for a half a day. Moscow is the most expensive city for accommodation, Perm is the cheapest.
