Four mountaineers have been injured while ascending Mt. Elbrus. Medics were informed about the accident at 9.25am, according to Kantemir Berov, the chief of emergency situations of Kabardino-Balkaria, Interfax reports.
Two of the mountaineers at a height of 5,200m come from Moscow and Severomorsk, one from Volgograd. The first two have been hospitalized to Tyrnyauz, the third one is being transported.
Yevgeny Kolchanov, the director of the Red Fox Elbrus Race - 2015, assured that none of the injured were involved in the competition.
