Dubai authorities have adopted stricter rules for clothing of tourists. Tourists visiting trade centers will be given booklets with a dress code, requiring that they cover their shoulders and knees. Shopkeepers may ask tourists to leave their stores for violating the code,
RIA Novosti reports. Dubai released a special dress code in 2009, urging visitors to wear longer non-transparent clothes, wear bathing clothes only at the beach, refrain from hugging and conducting other close physical acts in public.
