Crimea tops the list of the most popular tourism destinations for the Day of Russia holiday marked on June 12. Maria Nazamutdinova of Ozon Travel booking service said that 72% of Russian tourists preferred to spend holidays in the country, compared to 65% the previous year. The tourism flow to Simferopol increased by 12%, TASS reports.
The main national tourism destinations are Simferopol, Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa, Kavkazskiye Mineralniye Vody, Kaliningrad, Makhachkala, Rostov-on-Don and Ufa. Foreign destinations include Tiva, Kishinev, Barcelona, Thessaloniki, Tel Aviv, Yerevan, Kiev, Antalya and Alicante.
According to Туту.ru director general Dmitry Khrapov, tourists prefer to buy tickets from Moscow to Simferopol, Sochi and Anapa.
