The New York Times has ranked Georgia sixth among the top ten travel destinations for 2011. The newspaper stresses the potential of the ski resorts, Business of Georgia reports.
The grand opening of the winter holiday season in the resort of Mestiya took place in Georgia today. The season was opened by Ukrainian performers.
Among the top ten places to visit in 2011, according to the New York Times, are also Santiago (Chile), San Juan Island (Washington, USA), Koh Samui (Thailand), Iceland, Milan, London, Loreto (Mexico ), Park City (Utah, USA) and Cali (Colombia).
